A wise woman recently said to me, “the internet is endless.” What an opportunity for us to use it for endless good – to proclaim the Good News and the hope and healing it offers all who mourn! Isaiah 61 tells the story for us - ”The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclam the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn, and provide for those who grieve in Zion – to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.” Let’s spread the Word, let’s spread the hope and healing of Christ!

It strikes me that we are all called to reach the helpless and hurting for Christ. What you are you doing to reach them? What is your ministry? What has God called you to do to expand His kingdom?
I am so excited to share about Healing Hearts Ministries! In 2003 I connected with Healing Hearts through my church and completed a Bible study called “The Hem of His Garment.” The Hem changed my life because it introduced me to Jesus – the One, the only One, who could heal my broken heart! Broken from divorce, abuse, and sin I was at the bottom when I began the study. Since completing it, my life has been an amazing journey – new life, new hope, new job, a eternal relationship with the living God. Amazing!

This morning was filled with great fellowship with others as we did the Walk for the Wounded Hearts to raise money to further the cause of hope and healing through Jesus. The Lord held back the rain too!
