Praying for President Obama

I’ve been a bit mortified lately by all the derogatory comments among Christians about President Obama.  Whether we agree with him, his politics, or his election we should pray for him as the leader of our country.  Would we not want others to do the same for us if we were in such a position?  Please join me in praying for him.

In Him -

This morning God said….

Unless your faith is firm,

I cannot make you stand firm.

Ahh spring, ahhh love…revisited

Since I was a little girl I wanted to be married, and perhaps have a family.  God knew my heart.  I had to wait awhile to find the one He intended for me.  We finally found each other and will be getting married later this year.  I am in awe how God works and in awe of His blessings.

The Power of Love

Easter morning my pastor spoke of HOPE.  That we Christians can offer something other faiths, money, things, and often people simply cannot – an everlasting hope in the resurrected Jesus.  I often wonder what it was like for Peter – how he must have felt that moment – when he realized that his Lord was back from the grave.  Oh, the triumph of it all…the joy!

How wonderful it is that our God offers such goodness to us to offer to others rather than rules, regulations, legalism, certain behaviors, and distant, cool reserve.  Our Jesus CAME TO US, down to our level where He could touch humanity, then knowing who we are, He chose to free us through His death.  That is the power of true love.

Thank you Father!  Thank you Jesus!

  With gratitude,

     Sue
